Original narrative text, diagrams, exercise descriptions and prompt prose are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). The governing license is available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/legalcode.en.

Original executable code, program code inside fenced code blocks, SQL, configuration examples, scripts, CSS, JavaScript and workflow files are licensed under the MIT License in licenses/MIT.txt.

This is a material-by-material license allocation, not a choice of either license for the whole repository. Prompt prose remains CC BY-SA. Following the book does not by itself place an independently written application under CC BY-SA.

Upstream projects, dependencies, cited documentation and trademarks retain their own rights and licenses. This grant does not relicense Kubernetes, Agent Sandbox, agentgateway, Mistune or any other third-party component. Review dependencies separately before redistributing a software product.
