# Licensing map

Original book prose, exercises, answers, and original publication styling are licensed under **Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0)**. See [LICENSE-BOOK.md](LICENSE-BOOK.md).

Original code, code snippets, scripts, tests, workflow files, schemas, example configurations, and dependency configuration files are licensed under **MIT**. See [LICENSE-CODE.txt](LICENSE-CODE.txt). This exception applies to code blocks embedded in the manuscript as well as files under `examples/`, `scripts/`, and `.github/`.

Publication output contains both types of material and retains this distinction. Third-party software and dependencies retain their own licenses. No font files are distributed with this repository. System fonts used for PDF rendering must be installed separately.

Attribution example: “Modern CI: Building a Reliable CI/CD Platform, Aleksandar Popovic, edition 0.1 (2026), CC BY 4.0; original code MIT.” Identify adaptations and retain the applicable license notices. No trademark or endorsement rights are granted.
